Fun Day

This morning during my quiet time, I read a quote by Kevin Burgess, “Life isn’t breathing. Life is knowing God.”  God breathed life into us and we became alive.  Genesis 2:7, “The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”  Life is a relationship with God.  Walking with Him in the garden.  Life is to be with Him.  To know Him.  This is eternal life.  John 17:3, “No this is eternal life; that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”  Know God, know life.  No God.  No life.

Devotional before games and gifts

                               Volleyball

                Water Games

                 What a fun day!

Yesterday our boys were blessed by a team from Texas with an afternoon of games…freeze tag, soccer, sharks and minnows and volleyball.  Our boys had fun and worked up a sweat.  How can you not smile when two countries come together and unite in love and fun?  Afterward, the team brought the boys down to the field and they finished the afternoon off with water games.  It was a good afternoon.  Dwight shared that this group had never been to Casa, except for a select few, so this is an opportunity to create and build relationships.

This afternoon our boys were invited to the school and the youth group presented each of our boys with a gift. When teams come here and minister to the children, they are sharing the love of the Lord with all of us.  But in reality, the teams don’t leave the same.  The Lord is molding the children and the mission teams alike. He began a good work in all of us, and we are unfinished.

Rain?  Yes.  Still here.  Bring your galoshes and umbrellas!

All His,

Loving God with our heart not only means we treasure Him above all else. It means we have a passion. You will have a passion for service. Your life will not be centered upon yourself. You will take every opportunity to share the love of God and minister to others by sharing your testimony.

You will have a passion for care. It is incredible how many hurting people there are in the world. Katerine is doing her practicum in a government day school and with teary eyes she was relating to me how many babies are there who are filthy. There is sand in their noses and they look as though they never bathed.

The compassion she has is because of a passion for people. Jesus washed the feet of the disciples because He cared. His love for others should be manifested in our lives. If I am too good to wash another’s feet then I am missing out of what I was spiritually born to do.
