Vilma, Adam’s wife, is now a US citizen. We are all so happy for them. They should be returning to Guatemala soon.

Walt and Randy leave for the states Saturday and they have a couple coming to watch their dorm. They are Mike and Kelly Mellinger. While in the states Walt’s sons will be treated to Disneyland. They are such good boys.

I had my last dental appointment before leaving for the states.

Pastor Teddy from Grand Bay, Al. stopped by the other day. His church has a ministry in Chimaltenango. They build homes for the poor and have other outreaches.

Mamie Adams always went to a branch post office in her town because the postal employees there were friendly. She went there to buy stamps just before Christmas one year and the lines were particularly long. Someone pointed out that there was no need to wait in line because there was a stamp machine in the lobby. “I know,” said Mamie, ‘but the machine won’t ask me about my arthritis.”

Kindness is not difficult and you will bring more people to Jesus through acts of kindness then you ever will by preaching at them. A word of respect! A word of recognition! A word of concern!

Kindness is finding compassion and gentleness and understanding of where a person is emotionally. Rudeness drives people away as does unconcern and insincerity. You can change a life by being kind. Accept people where they are and not where you think they should be. Kindness is an attribute of God and it should be passed on to His children when then pass it along to others.
