The greatest gift

Alex came home today so he is doing well following the transplant.

Getting ready to go to the states requires so much preparation. Gladys will stay in our house with our teenagers.

A small team is here from Ohio and I gave them my testimony in the morning.

I meet with Sebastian, Josue and Alex each Monday morning. There was a lot of information to share since we leave tomorrow.

The greatest, most essential gift that God gave His church, the gift that contains the most divine power is the gift of His love working in us and through us.

His love was placed within us when we were saved by His grace. “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” (Romans 5:5)

His love, working in us, and displayed one to another, is the greatest testimony we have to a lost world. “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:35 KJV)

When we walk in love one for another, we are walking in obedience to the Lord: “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” (John 13:34 )

When we walk in love for one another, we prove that we are saved by His grace. “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.” (1 John 3:14 )

One of the problems in the church at Corinth, was that they were manifesting nearly every spiritual gift in existence, but they were not walking in love one for another. The Corinthians loved the flashy gifts. They loved tongues, prophecy, and other gifts that made them look spiritual in the eyes of others. God was more interested in them coming to the place where they loved one another like He loved them.
