I messed up
29th: > I messed up the blog for two days. Please read all
26th: Everyone was so excited at 6am because of graduation when one of the American visitors was found unconscious and unresponsive. An ambulance was called, and she was taken to the hospital where later she awakened and examined. Praise God she will be able to return to Casa tomorrow. The graduations and presentation of the quinceaneras went well. It is always the high light of the year for the students and 15-year-old girls. There were a lot of visitors and sponsors, so it was an exciting day. So many of them went to visit Dottie. It was strange for me without Dottie being there. This was the first event in all these years that Dottie was not a part of.
28th The graduates and the quinceaneras were treated Friday evening to meals and a fun time with the Americans. Tim’s group devotionals Saturday morning with Estrellitas and Cometas followed by devotionals with Esperanza followed by devotionals with Doncellas followed by devotionals with Buen Pastor and Vencedores. That was a full day of ministry. The male graduates also had an evening meal with one group of Americans. And pizza flowed like a river in many dorms. It was a great graduation followed by so much USA love. The 10, 11 and 12 year old girls came to visit Dottie and they prayed one by one for her with the sweetest prayers ever prayed over a mother. The American woman taken to the hospital unresponsive woke up within 2 hours. She spent the night in the hospital but woke up with a great joyful attitude. Scott and Linda came from Alabama for a visit with Dottie. Scott is one of the four of us who have a conference call on Mondays to pray.
29th: Yesterday was a great day. The parents were here for church as well as many Americans. They responded well to the preaching. Many came forward for prayer.
The quinceaneras left for the lake and were so blessed. I received a before dawn photograph as they watched the sun come up over the lake.
The American woman did return from the hospital yesterday.
Roxanna was raised here and started college before getting married and having children only to return to law school and will graduate in 3 weeks. I am so proud of her. So far this past few weeks we have had a surgeon, a psychologist, a social worker and now a lawyer graduating. God is so good.
The neurologist diagnosed Dottie with Hakim Adam’ s Syndrome which means an increasing of hydrocephalus, mental cognition decreases, increased inability to walk and an increasing in difficulty to urinate. Surgery is less than 50% successful and can end in death or total paralysis. Dottie does not want surgery.
