Doris

Every young person who receives a college or technical school diploma is a great testimony. Doris received her nursing diploma last week. She came here as a toddler after being unbelievably abused in her home. God not only healed her mind and spirit to assure she does remember the abuse, but she is one of the young people who came here as children and NEVER gave me even one problem.

I am filled with gratitude for being part of her life. In fact, I have a picture of she and I among only personal family pictures in our bedroom.

Tuesday is a big day for Casa as this morning the children will receive their Christmas gifts. That will be followed with our traditional Christmas dinner with all the staff and children.

Then at midnight without Dottie and me there will be fireworks and the exchanging of gifts between those over 18 years of age

My son, Tony, and I took a ride and shared what was in our hearts. He and Lily will care for Michelle when Dottie and I are gone. They really love her and she loves them. They take her for a few days each month.
