The Difference 1957 and 2016
We received 3 new children and there is another one in the hospital who is burned so will come when released.
A New York team arrived and tomorrow a Mississippi group will arrive.
The team went to minister outside Casa this morning and then had a program for the little kids in the evening.
The elementary students participated in the academic olympics in San Bartolome’ today.

In 1957 I was in high school and I want to share my feelings about what the high schoolers of 2016 are missing out on today.
I could go to a party without fear of drugs or alcohol. I could walk to my friend’s homes day or night without fear of being attacked or sexual I could turn on a TV without seeing nakedness, hearing a filthy word or listen to someone make fun of Jesus. I could date without fear of my girlfriend being raped or abused. I could leave my doors unlocked and my windows open 24 hours a day. I could stand in the middle of the football field and pray before a game. I could have brought a Bible to school and had prayer groups if I had been saved. I could speak without being accused of being “politically incorrect”. I could participate in a debate without hatred and accusation. I could enjoy the Christ of Christmas. I could live my life everyday without fear of gangs or perverts. I could go fishing with an African American and a police officer at the same time. I could visit with all my classmates and not one was from a divorced home. I could dream without limits. I could find a summer job. I could afford to go to college without being in debt for years. I could sing “God bless America” and I could pledge “One nation under God”.
My deepest regrete as a father and grandfather is that my children and grandchildren have never been able to enjoy those blessings even in the land of the free and the home of the brave.
