I John 4:17 “Herein is love made perfect in us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, even so are we in this world. There is no fear in love because perfect love casteth out fear”.

John is telling us that when we receive Christ as our Savior the Holy Spirit lives within us. We are united with Jesus in eternal life and eternal love. If we are filled with the Spirit of God which in this case occurs at salvation fear no longer has a place to live. If a glass is filled to the brim there is no more space for more liquid.

If we are walking in Agape love there is no fear therefore I know when I am not walking in Agape love. It happens when I begin to worry, doubt and fear. If I have that prefect love (Agape) then I will shed the enemy off of me. He cannot live in the presence of this perfect love.

Agape assures me that I will not harm another person. I will never steal from them. I will not gossip about them. I will not take advantage of them. So when I do move into the areas I just listed I know God’s love (Agape) is not there and I am walking in my own natural love.

If I bruise or harm you I am not walking in His love.
