Peace of Conscience
For the first time in many mont months we had trouble with the well. But it is running now. It is an electrical problem.
Dottie had 36 for lunch today. It was the first Sunday of the month & that is birthday Sunday.
The average person has such a warped view of God. They see Him as a judge waiting to lower the boom when they fail. They lack the one thing that makes all the difference in the world. It is the Peace of Conscience. They feel unworthy.
They believe if they did not take care of their body they DESERVE to be sick. They believe that if they misused money they deserve to be poor. If they fell to temptation they deserve to lose their family. If they are ugly & rude they deserve to be rejected.
The saddest part of this is that many Christians feel just like these examples. They received Jesus as Lord and Savior but are constantly fearful of judgment and not living up o what God expects. It is based upon UNBELIEF! They just do not understand what Jesus did on the cross. He Agaped us! He loved us unconditionally. We fail and we sin and there will be consequences. But He will never quit loving you.
In my own experience I have seen how God forgave me and cleansed because of the work of Jesus at Calvary. But another truth I have learned is that the finished work on Calvary was for the cleansing of my mind. He gives us the peace that passes all understanding. He calls it Peace of Conscience.
