Time
I am very proud of Laura as she completed a course in coffee management and has been working less than a year. Yesterday the owner came to her and said that he wanted to pay her full tuition and books, etc. for her to return to college as he has plans for her. That makes me a proud father.
Today as I began making radio shows I was led by the Lord to use the airtime to give my testimony. Many people have asked that I write a book. I just do not feel comfortable writing about myself. So I will use a number of weeks on KAJN radio to provide my oral testimony.
By the way, I broke my toe tonight.
I am not too sure many of you remember the rock band “The Byrds” but they recorded a hit song and three lines of the song went like this:
To everything, turn, turn, turn There is a season, turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven, turn, turn, turn
If you know your Bible then you know these are the words of Solomon, son of David, who wrote the book of Ecclesiates. Each day I choose how I will use my time. I can spend it anyway I want BUT I can only spend it ONCE. Solomon says 30 times in one chapter “There is a time for…”.
I cannot save time, store time or change time. I can only use my time wisely or waste it foolishly. I will truly USE it or LOSE it. There are no do-overs in this life when it comes to time.
John Lennon or the Beatles said, “Life is what is happening to you while you are busy making other plans”. True words! The clock keeps ticking on all of us. It ticks 86,400 seconds per day.
As I age I become more conscious and more aware of time. What is the purpose for the time God has allowed me? I do not want to wake up each day to spend my time. I want to awaken every day with a purpose for living. I want to awaken to make a difference.
