Third Load

We left early so we could meet Teddie’s niece, Jamie, because of the anticipated bad weather. She took the 3rd load of gifts for the children for Christmas. So the 3 teams from Charlotte, Fayetteville & now Alabama each will bring many bags of gifts. It is a marvelous blessing.

Tim was able to fix the web glitch.

The service at Union Baptist was well attended and expecially by many old friends. Many of them had major input into what God has done at Casa.

We will leave early Thursday & head towards Alexandria. This weather has been unbelievable.

The teens will have an activity in the evening of praise and worship. The entire school will have a presentation by the Municipal Police as part of Civic week.

“Sorrow is better than laughter, because a sad face is good for the heart” (Ecclesiastes 7:3) This is a strange scripture isn’t it? What God is saying is that sometimes we have to feel worse in order to feel better.

If you have ever participated in group therapy you will see that the therapist encourages the people to speak of their pains, sorrows, disappointments, past abuses, traumas, etc. They want the patients to express their anger, resentment and bitterness.

God knows that we have to face the pain we are not dealing with in order to get past the emotional hump that keeps us from growing. Just waiting for the pain to go away will never allow the change that we need.

If I bury my feelings I will stop growing. But God is correct (always) when He says a sad face is good for the heart.

What are you hiding? What are you not facing honestly? Time DOES NOT heal all wounds!!!!
