Loss of a loved one #8
This was a very laid back Sunday. I needed that!
We are continuing with the ways to cope with the loss of someone we love. Hope, Memories, Friends & Family and yesterday we spoke of the Word of God. Today I want to share with you the fifth which is PRAYER. Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Paul says “in everything” and as you probably have realized when you lose a loved one you are IN pain, IN sorrow, IN bewilderment and often IN the depths of despair. If there is ever a time to speak to God and listen for His voice it is at the death of someone you love. Prayer becomes a place of peace and strength.
The prayers of others become a great source of strength and peace. Over the years since being here in Guatemala I have asked for prayer hundreds if not thousands of times.
