JonJon is here!

So many hundreds of people remember Jon Jon who was with us for years and who was so very ill. Todd and Jamie visited and fell in love with him. He was adopted and taken to the states with them & today he arrived with them. He looks awesome! He has the same unbelievable personality & after months and months in the hospitals & many surgeries he is such a great example of an overcomer.
We received a 7 year old child who was beaten like a mule. He looks as though he was beaten for hours.
God tells us to run our race with patience (endurance) in Hebrews 12:1-2. He then says there are steps to success in the race that we must take. First we must strip off extra weight. You cannot run a 100 yard dash in combat boots or a snow parka. You strip down not only to just a shirt & a a pair of shorts but they are as tight as possible to help resist wind. God uses the words “sins that easily befall us”. So He does not specify a particular sin either large or small. ANY sin will slow you down in your race towards heaven. When He tells us to run with endurance He says that we are to “keep your eyes on Jesus”. There is no other goal we should strive for. Nothing else matters! It is only how you and I live our lives upon this earth. We either live for ourselves or we live for Jesus. SELF slows us down. We will never be winners if we concentrate upon ourselves. Endurance means that you do not give up. You keep running. You refuse to stop or get sidetracked. Keeping your eyes on Jesus just solves EVERY problem. The things of this world do grow strangely dim when we walk in the light of Jesus and His Word.
