Crabs

My son, Orlando, is my right arm in putting together the power point. He is studying Graphic Design at Galileo University.

I began paying land taxes which takes a while when you own 15 pieces of land. Our lawyer is in the process of combining all of them into one title. But it did not take me as long to pay as expected.

Edgar, who has one leg, went to Zacapa for a new prosthetic leg.

Jose Fernando, who has Fanconi Anemia, has gotten ill for the first time in two years. His blood count is dangerously low. Needs much prayer.

Another son, Chad, loves to fish, hunt alligators and go crabbing. An interesting fact about crabs is that if you catch only one you must put a lid on or it will climb out.

But if you have more than one crab you need not cover them because when one tries to climb out the others grab him and pull him back into the group.

This is so similar to the world we live in today. I have watched the media push a particular candidate for election and when they surprisingly win then themedia turns and drags them back down to earth.

Lives of thousands are affected by the crab mentality each year. The church is no exception. Once a Christian gets more than salvation and wants to make a difference others start trying to drag them back down to earth.

The saying that “Misery loves company” is absolutely true. A person who has little to offer tries to pull others back to their level as to not look so bad.
