Fresh Start #1
We made it through graduation, quinceaneras, Christmas and New Year’s. We stepped back & took one deep breath & now we prepare for uniforms, texts, school supplies and enrollment of children in classes from kindergarten through university.
We are adding more block layers and going as quickly & safely as we can to complete the critical care hospital by November 1, 2015.
Two boys need arm surgery. Bryan broke his arm 2 months ag & it was not set correctly. Emanuel, who came here 2 months ago, had an accident years ago & his arm looks terrible so we are having it fixed correctly.
Folks from Fayette Baptist in Tennessee arrived.
Did you ever dream of a new start? I have made so many mistakes and had my share of failure so I do wonder what it would be like to start fresh. John 10:10 “I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly”.
What Christ said in those words in John 10:10 is that He wants us to have a fresh start. He wants to give us a new beginning. So as we saw yesterday in Isaiah 43:18 God tells us to forget the past and look to the future. God is interested in our future much more thaan He is interested in our past.
When Isaiah penned those words Israel was being severely punished for failing to obey. They felt hopeless and that they would forever be out of favor with God. But God is not vengeful. He was punishing them but He was not forsaking them.
As long as we are willing to repent God is willing to change our direction and destination. He wants to do something new in our lives. He is telling us not to look back but to look forward. That is what He is telling you and me.
