It was 14 degrees when we woke up in Fayette, Al and when we arrived in Knoxville is was 18 degrees with winds extremely strong.

The three boys who recently had surgery are looking satisfied. The doctor looks a little thin.

Another of my female heroes is Helen Keller. In fact when I visited her childhood home where she first learned to communicate I was taken away. Totally deaf and dumb at age 18 months she was a horrible child. She was spoiled by her father and thought to be rearded by everyone.

But then she met Ann Sullivan who after much labor of love and as stubborn as Helen was she taught Helen ONE WORD. Fighting Helen and refusing to allow her to get the best of her Ann taught her ONE WORD. “Water!” Listen to what Helen later commuicated to others through sign language or rather sign spelling.

“I knew that w-a-t-e-r meant that a wonderful cool somethong was flowing over my hand. That living word awakened my soul, gave it light, hope, joy and set it free forever”.

One living word changed Helen Keller forever. She flew past her physical limitations to become one of the most honored and respected women of the both century. She said “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision”. She took a body that the world used to define her and she became the master of that body. Her body became her servant. How?

By allowing the living wod to control her mind. You and I have the great bkessing of the Living Word of God and yet so may have sight ut no vision. They can see only according to their natural ability. They cannot see in the spirit but only in the natural. Your vision becomes clear only when you can look into your own heart and be honest with who you are.
