Oscar

The surgery on Oscar’s knee was successful. The ACL was not torn so only damaged cartilage had to be removed. Tim took him to the hospital although Tim himself appears to have a nerve tear in his shoulder.

I wish that I could tell you that I never worry. But that would be a lie. There are not many things that cause me worry but a couple of things really do get to me and cause me little sleep. Being responsibible to make difficult and critical decisions every day consumes me.

God does not want me to worry and I can quote many scriptures telling me not to worry–cast all my cares upon Him, etc.

Worry is harmful. Matthew 6:27 says that worry will not add one day to your life span. So I assume that also means worry will shorten your life span. I have to fight worry daily. It is a constant battle. To dwell or reside in things that I have no control causes stress, anxiety and even panic.

I spend time praying, listening to the Word or studying the Word. It is only in those minutes that I can keep the menacing effects of the devil from occupying my mind.
