Victor & Evelyn came to Casa 25 years ago. When we received the semi-truck & trailer the driver asked if we had anyone here by Victor’s full name. He is married to Victor’s sister and Victor has 13 other brothers and sisters. Only God! When they came face-to-face Victor was shocked & his sister said, “Well, give me a hug”.
A dozen of our girls and a dozen of the boys are learning how to bake bread, etc. and yesterday the boy’s brought Dottie and me fresh hot rolls. They love to cook. The course was offered to them by the mayor of San Bartolome’.
The Illinois team left after church services to distribute beans & rice to a village.
I suppose the question most asks by Christians is “What is the will of God for my life?” A Christian needs to step out and listen as they do the first steps.
In Micah 6:8 God says that we are to “do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God”. If you do justly which means you are honest and faithful to God as well as caring for the poor, the widows, the orphans and the strangers God will hear your prayers.
Loving mercy means that you fulfill your obligations in every relation that you have. You do your part.
Walking humbly with God is speaking of your attitude as a Christian and you develop an intimate relationship with Him. You LISTEN as you take these steps in your life.
James 1 tells us that true and pure religion is to visit the fatherless and the widows. We can all do this. The first steps in knowing His will for you is to do what He already has instructed you to do. The of this is that you care for others. Look for people who need help and help them. As you go this first mile the Lord will show you the direction you are to take for the second mile and then the next one and so on.
