Diligence 2
I fell & cracked a tooth but since we had a dentist here she capped it.
The boys cleaned the water tank.
Adam had an outreach ministry; Jim took a number of kids to court and Chad installed the new water pipes so everyone had a different but productive day.
It is so easy to get distracted and a person who is not diligent will get easily sidetracked. It is never about starting a project. It is all about finishing what you begin.
I have a life scripture as do many Christians. I have only had it since I turned 60 years of age 12 years ago. It is Psalm 71:18 “Now that I am old and grey headed, O God, forsake me not until I have shown thy strength unto this generation and thy power to everyone who is to come”.
Have you heard the term “Busy as a beaver”? This is because a beaver is rarely inactive. It seems to always be working, building, maintaining and caring for the family. It is foolish to begin a journey and have no destination in mind. God has a purpose or destination that He eventually wants you to fulfill.
A diligent person will apply themselves. You will be able to apply yourself to task without getting bored or sidetracked and go off chasing rabbits. You will stick with it. You will allow it to become HEART work. You will see the job through until the end of either yourself or the job itself. You will be working when Jesus comes. You will never retire from being a faithful Christian. You simply will not allow yourself to get weary in well doing.
There is a proverb which states “He that keeps the fig tree will soon eat figs”.
