How to Help Others
We will be starting on the tile floor for the Genesis building as well as finishing the stucco throughout the building and outside walls. In two months the inside will be totally finished and ready for equipment.
The mother of two sisters here passed away and that is always a painful experience for the children. It only reminds them of their isolation even more.
Luke 10:25-37 is the story of a good Samaritan who cares about and helps others. A priest and a Levite passed by when they saw the injured man. They just ignored the needs of the injured man. If we are going to help others we need to go to where these people are. They seldom come looking for help and salvation.
Jesus wanted to teach us how compassion really works. We say that we love others but when there is a need so many people just ignore the pain. Saying “I care” is very different than demonstrating that love with physical assistance or financial aid. True compassion DOES!
Christ denied Himself to save the world and we need to deny ourselves in order to help others. It will not cost me my blood as it did Jesus but it will cost me time and maybe finances to truly help.
