Leah #1

There was a manifestation made by the farmers but they did not totally block all the highways so only Minor could not get to college but all other appointments we have were met.

Our physician, Miguel, will serve his last day here tomorrow as he leaves for Japan on Friday. Would you pray that we can locate an excellent pediatrician?

Today Duke was welding beds in the welding shop when behind everything he found an 8000 volt generator. That is strong enough to operate the water pump on the back property and the new construction in a power black out. God is awesome!

The USA bank is updating their website. We cannot do anything so if you give by pay pal, etc. please email Debbie and she will tell you what to do. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I am going backwards because I seem to have Leah on my mind. Earlier I shared the story of Jacob and his love for Rachel. He worked seven years for Rachel but was deceived by his father-in-law when Jacob woke up the day after the wedding with the wrong sister. Jacob deceived his brother, Esau, and now he is deceived. The Word tells us that what we sow we will reap.

Rachel is mentioned as being a beautiful woman while her older sister, Leah, was not attractive. Jacob says he will work another seven years for Rachel. So after the required week he is allowed to marry Rachel. Now Leah is alone and unloved. She lives in the house and sees Rachel being favored and her heat is broken.

Being alone and unloved is the greatest disease in the world. Leah is living with a man who does not love her. That is so common today I shudder to see what will happen in the years to come.

God sees her unhappiness so He blesses Leah with a productive womb. She bears 4 sons and names the first child Ruebon. His name means “Behold I have a son”. Leah so desperately want the love of Jacob and she things if he sees that she can provide him what Rachel cannot give him he will love her.

She thinks that she can change Jacob. But life is not like that. You and I cannot change anyone. If an alcoholic or drug addict or sex addict or just a good old country boy cannot be changed until he looks in his heart and decides he wants help.
