Seeing good days #1

Dottie’s exam results on her eyes was very good and will have her final surgeries in June. But we are pleased with the results. I took a number of x-rays on my back & leg so the nuerologist can see what is causing the constant pain.

I Peter tells us “For he that will love life see good days…”. I really desire good days. Yesterday I was walking to the bathroom and fell. When I arose I fell again. This morning I was walking in my living room as I always do when I fell and hit a bookshelf. One of Dottie’s most favorite photograph was imprinted on a plate and it fell and shattered. It was meaningful because it was taken at Josue’ & Estella’s wedding in Jackson, Tn. This was not a good way to start the day.

If we are to have food days we must follow God’s plan. It begins with an attitude meaning “What are my priorities in life?” Colossians 3:2 says, I am to set my love on things above, not on the things of this earth. Too many people are concerned about whether LSU or Ohio State or Auburn or whatever your school wins championships.

If I am to see good days my mind must be on what the natural eyes cannot see. My eyes need to look into the eternal. God does not care who wins the game. God cares about my heart being fully focused on Him and His Word and His work because the heavens truly do declare the majesty of our Heavenly Father.
