Aging
Hard to believe that another year has passed. The older I get the faster the days go by.
The baby dorm staff brought all the toddlers to see Dottie and they all gave her a big hug and kiss which made Dottie so happy.
A scripture that I will stand on in 2025 is Isaiah 43:19, ¨Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. ¨
Several years ago the Lord led me to a scripture that I believe with all my heart. It is Psalms 90:9 ¨We spend our years as a tale that is told´. As we all look back over the years, we can truly see how our lives tell a story.
My life could not have been more different than Dottie´s life. South Louisiana/Arkansas. Baptist Pastor/Catholic schoolboy. Father offshore/Baptist Pastor. A miracle meeting in a lunch hall in Natchitoches. My love for her/Deep rejection by her. Happy marriage/Deaths of 3 children/adoption of 8. Well, you get the idea.
On February 10, 2025 we will celebrate our 62nd wedding anniversary. There have been mountain top highs and deep valley lows. But there will always be Mike and Dottie in love.
She is so very ill but this is where better or worse comes in to play. Pray for us. Pray specifically for Dottie´s health. Pray for our personal finances. Pray our golden years will honor God. ´
