I was feeling very blue as the strain of watching Dottie struggle and the population of Casa shrinking. But as I had my pity party God reminded me that Casa has produced so many pastors, church members, choir members, Sunday school teachers, musicians, vocalists, deacons, even missionaries, etc. I am so blessed.
Add all the college graduates and young people with jobs, marriages and children and I should be ashamed of myself for being so spiritually blind.
Another truth about sheep is that they cannot care for themselves when wounded. You and I must have the Holy Spirit when we are hurting. What we all go through as Christians cannot be healed with medicine. It takes a deep relationship that is willing to place itself in the arms of God.
I worked on my sermon for Sunday which is that the Bible is the Word of God and we need to study it. The Bible has 770,000 words so there is a lot to study. Listening to the Word is so important. Nehemiah would read from morning until midday. The majority of Christians do not read the Word even once a day.
Benjamin who lost an eye when his father hit him graduated here and went to cooking school and has been a chef 6 years in an upscale restaurant. He came to visit us today and bring Dottie some flowers. It was so good to see him. Casa was able to get him a false eye 10 years ago.

Roxana was raised at Casa and now is a beautiful lawyer.
