Soldiers at the University

Dottie, Tatiana, Orlando. Quique, Adela, Tony on Valentines Day
A strange event happened a day ago. The largest university in Guatemala, San Carlos University, had an emergency shut down due to a law written 75 years ago. In the 40s many students were murdered by the army.
When that military movement terminated a law was passed by Congress that the army could never step foot on the university. When Tony went to class Tuesday the university was closed. It was discovered that the President of Guatemala´s wife had gone to the campus for an event, and she had some soldiers with her. Thus, the shutdown.
Andrew, who served here, before he married and then years after marriage and now is a pastor in Canada is bringing a team to Casa. He contacted us to say his newborn son has a brittle bone disease so Andrew will bring his team and get them settled and he will fly back to Canada to be with his son. Please pray for him and his family.
The women had their Thursday Bible study here in our house and Dottie loved it. However, Dottie was in more pain last night than she has had these 4 months. The pain brings Dottie to tears. While Dottie had physical therapy Friday morning, I took time to get away and gather my thoughts.
¨Please pray that Josue and Estella can reach hearts on their visits to groups and individuals’. It is so difficult for me to not be able to travel to the states to see family, visit churches and friends and share what is happening at Casa.
Today is Valentine´s Day in Guatemala.
