A Long Journey
This morning I gave my testimony to the Mobile group.
I never get tired of telling the story of how God had a different direction for my life which led from Bunkie to Natchitoches to Crossett, Arkansas to Bakersfield, California back to Louisiana then to Florida and then Pineville, La. To Long Pine on the Bayou. to Bunkie, Lafayette, Lake Charles and finally in Guatemala.
It seems like we wandered in the wilderness as much as Moses. But it has been 36 years in Guatemala.
Thousands of people have come from all over the USA and other countries to build, to paint, to teach, to sponsor and to love our children. It is because of you reading this update that 6000 children have come to Christ. They in turn have also led thousands of others to the Lord.
There also have been thousands of others who have already crossed into eternity. We will all meet again.
The 6th point in in being successful is to pray. I Thessalonians 5:17 says that we are to pray without ceasing. This is an attitude. All around us everyday there are situations and circumstances requiring prayer. The world is dangerous. Prayer is our weapon. I tell every child when they leave Casa to go to the village or get on a bus they are to pray for protection and favor. Every time we leave campus in my truck we pray.
